In this warmly hospitable family atmosphere of this plantation between Lake Manyara & Ngorongoro Crater, you will get an intimate look at typical farm life in Africa. A German couple, who manage the estate, will be your host at the Kifaru Lodge. The guest-houses, design to meet the diverse needs of single, families with children or Even groups, will also ensure privacy, far away from the beaten track.

The owners have converted their coffee farm into a guesthouse but  still maintain coffee production. The place is very small and personal with fantastic views of the cascading valleys below and the coffee fields. The accommodation consists of houses located around the main property and gives you the feel of staying with a wealthy farmer. If you want a very personal touch to your safari then the place is recommended.

Near the primeval woodlands of Ngorongoro Conversation Area is a vast plantation with Fields of coffee, grain, vegetables and flowers. Here on an African farm surrounded by Untouched wilderness is the Kifaru Lodge. This lodge is situated in the midst of perhaps the most scenic and wildlife territories of Africa. Here you can enjoy the mysterious world of the dark continent and gather unforgettable impressions in comfort and safety.Kifaru Lodge is located nearby the town of Kiratu, about 40 minutes drive from the Ngorongoro Crater.

There are 10 rooms in total which are located in 3 separate houses on the property. All rooms are individually furnished in a different theme. They are all en suite and look like a  personal room you would encounter as a guest at a farm.  They all overlook the valley and the coffee fields and are very romantic. The 2 honeymoon rooms are in a house located a short distance away from the main buildings and are very romantic with a private veranda. These are definitely recommended for honeymoon couples.
