The Great Ruaha River is the lifeline of the Park; we can offer you the privilege of your own riverside 'banda' designed to blend seamlessly into the surroundings. The local stone and thatch room has minimal impact on the environment and game viewing from your veranda is a relaxing and enthralling option.

Ruaha lies in the convergence zone where northern and southern hemisphere mammals and migrant birds overlap. This results in an overwhelming number of different bird species (488 recorded species nearly half that found in the entire country) and over 1400 plant species which lead to a correspondingly large number of mammals.

Ruaha National Park is 120 km from the nearest town Iringa down the rather aptly named 'Neverending' road. This takes approximately 2 hours. Foxes African Safaris operate a road schedule between Dar es Salaam, Mikumi and Ruaha. This is the most cost effective way for couples, singles or small groups.

There is an air schedule three times a week operating out of Dar es Salaam/ Zanzibar via Selous and Ruaha up to Arusha in the north
