Britain has joined the United States in banning carry-on electronic devices on planes coming from certain airports in Middle East. Cairo and Istanbul are included in the list.
The passengers traveling from these airports will not be allowed to carry devices such as tablets, portable DVD players, laptops and cameras into the main cabin that are larger than a mobile phone. Such items will have to be put in checked baggage. The ban comes into effect on 25th March 2017.
