Day 1
Pick up from Dar es salaam Hotel and drive to Mikumi . Lunch at Vuma Hills Tented Camp. After lunch relax. Late afternoon game drive in Mikumi National Park. This park is famous for its open grasslands and the mountain ranges that border the park. A full spectrum of wildlife can be viewed here including wild dog and over 300 species of bird. Dinner and Overnight at Vuma Hills Tented camp/ Mikumi Wildlife Camp/ Foxes Safari Camp.

Day2
After breakfast drive with packed lunch to Udzungwa Mountain National Park. Enjoy a guided walk in this park famous for rare plants and primates including two that are endemic-Iringa Red Colobus and the Sanje crested mangabey. Walk in the lush rain forest and enjoy relaxing by water falls and spectacular views of the south west plateau. Late afternoon return to Vuma hills Tented Camp/ Mikumi Wildlife Camp/ Foxes Safari Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day3
After breakfast leave with a packed lunch to Ruaha National Park. This journey takes you through the Kitonga hills which border the Udzungwa mountains . The road follows the Great Ruaha River and then climbs the Great Rift Escarpment and then past Iringa Town and onto Ruaha River Lodge/ Tandala Tented Camp/Mwagusi/ Jongomero.

Day 4 + 5
The next two days are spent game driving in Ruaha National park, one of Tanzania’s best kept secrets. A large variety of game is seen including hippo, crocodile, waterbuck, lion ,leopard, hyena, wild dog, greater and lesser Kudu. Ruaha is the country’s biggest elephant sanctuary and hone to over 370 species of Birds. Full board at you chosen lodge- Ruaha River Lodge/ Tandala Tented Camp/Mwagusi/ Jongomeru.

Day 6
After breakfast drive to Mufindi Highland Lodge in time for lunch. Mufindi highlands offers you the opportunity to experience a different part of Tanzania. This area is surrounded by tea estates, dark thick montane forest, rugged bushland interlaced with lakes, rivers and streams. It is an ideal place to relax after the rigors of your safari. The climate is cool and there are a number of activities to choose from including walks, fishing, golf, mountain biking and horseback riding. Full board at Mufindi Highland Lodge.

Day 7
Choice of activities at the lodge or relax enjoying the cool climate and stunning scenery. Full board Mufundi Highland lodge.

Day 8
After breakfast drive back towards Dar es salaam with a packed lunch. Dinner and overnight once again in Mikumi (Vuma hills Tented Camp/ Mikumi Wildlife Camp/ Foxes Safari Camp) or take this opportunity to stay in a country town- Morogoro. Here the options are Acropol Hotel or Oasis Hotel.

Day 9
After breakfast drive to the Selous with packed lunch. This is one of the most amazing road trips you can do in Tanzania. The drive will take you through truly wild and untouched parts of the country, through the uluguru mountains past small villages and eventually into the Selous game reserve. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp, Impala, Selous safari, Sandrivers or Beho Beho.

Day 10 +11
Two full days exploring the Selous Game Reserve. This is the largest protected wildlife area in Africa. This park varies from rolling savannah woodland, grassland plains and rocky outcrops cut by the Rufiji River and its tributaries, the kilomobero and luwegu. It is the largest catchment area in East Africa and the ideal place to view game by boat, on foot and on game drives. You will have a choice of two of these activities a day at any camp you choose to stay in. Accommodation is on full board.

Day 12
After breakfast transfer to airstrip for flight to Dar es salaam or Zanzibar.
