Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area – situated in the Ngorongoro Crater rim valley, close to the access road into the crater, giving guests unrivaled access to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The park is full of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and elephants. Supported by a year-round supply of water and food; the park supports a massive variety of animals, including its impressive population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the elusive leopard.

The three large and comfortable communal tents provide a dining area where scrumptious meals are served, a lounge area perfect for afternoon relaxation, and lounge bar where pre-dinner drinks are served. All of the main areas include breath taking views of the spectacular surrounding scenery and large trees surrounding this intimate camp. For a more intimate experience you can choose to dine on individual tables set in special spots around the camp.

The small camp comprises of just 10 classic safari tents, all with ensuite bathrooms with indoor bucket showers, king-size beds, and everything that makes a Sanctuary tented camp an authentic safari experience. All the tents also feature hairdryers, mosquito nets, in-room safes and a small sitting area in front of each of the tents where early morning coffee and biscuits can be enjoyed before starting the day of incredible game viewing. Electricity supply is a combination of silent packed generator and inverter battery system.

CLASSIC SAFARI TENTS

The camp offers ten classic safari tents – each with its own en-suite bathroom and indoor bucket shower, with personal tent attendant filling your bucket shower to the perfect temperature whenever required from the outside. The tents also feature hairdryers and plug points and a small sitting area in front of each of the tents where early morning coffee and biscuits can be enjoyed before starting the day of incredible game viewing. The main common areas include a dining area, bar area and lounge area as well as comfortable sofas placed in specially-selected locations around the camp.

DINING

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in your stay – and dining is buffet style in the camp. On early morning game drives, indulge in a packed breakfast enjoyed in the middle of the bush and head back to the lodge for a late lunch; or leave after an early breakfast and indulge in a scrumptious packed lunch enjoyed whilst on a full day game drive. For a more intimate experience you can choose to dine on individual tables set in special spots around the camp, overlooking the action below.
