When you arrive at the Selous Mbuyu Safari Camp, you are welcomed in the Grand Reception Hall which is adjacent to the Bar and Restaurant overlooking the banks of the Rufiji River.

Our solar powered tents individually named after the 2011 Africa Football Cup of Nations from Angola to Zambia are fully equipped with modern Eco Technology including Solar Power.

All tents have twin beds that can be converted into doubles, with en-suite bathrooms. The tents are fully equipped with Interior and Exterior Fans, mobile air conditioning, cupboard, safety deposit box, working desk / chair and two reading chairs. Your en-suite bathroom is provided with filtered water for Power Showers, Hot water heater and a separate WC. Each tent features a river facing patio with easy chairs for river viewing.

Uniquely tents feature a compact TV / Video combination with an extensive Video Library located at the Grand reception. All Tents offer complimentary bottled water and laundry services. For your safety the tents are equipped with an Emergency torch and a whistle for raising the alarm.

Dining

Throughout the day food / drinks are available from the restaurant and bar area. Brunch is served after your morning excursion until 11am. We offer a full high-tea at 3.30pm before your afternoon excursion. The Safari Dinner is served from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm in the restaurant overlooking the Rufiji River. The chef prepares a daily menu, and at times will cook to order. All excursions include limited drinks / snacks as part of the package.

VIP Suite

The VIP suite which faces the river has its own residential mother and child elephant a splendid sight to see. The tent can acommodate upto six(6) people and includes a bar, lounge, 2 rooms en suite, outside shower, sauna, and steam bath. It is a great way for families and friends to enjoy and bond together.

Honeymoon Suite

Our tailor made honeymoon suite with its own front river facing verandah, a big 4 poster bed, jacuzzi, mini bar, lounge, outside shower and complimentary champagne is in its class of its own.
